Star Wars Covergirl Lipsticks Review

IT HAS FINALLY HAPPENED.

Two months ago, it was announced that Cover Girl was making Star Wars makeup in time for The Force Awakens which releases on Christmas. The makeup line includes mascaras, lipsticks, and eyeliners classified into the “Dark Side” or the “Light Side”. After two months of searching, I finally found this line in a local Target.

I tried out three lipsticks, which all cost about $6, that I purchased at Target. This makeup line is also available online, and at Walmart stores.

Star Wars Covergirl Lipstick Swatches In Dark Apprentice, Droid, and JediCovergirl Colorlicious Lipstick in Dark Apprentice #30 – The color on this lasted the longest of the three lipsticks. This was a dark red with a slight shimmer. It was the type of red that made me feel like it would be at home at a holiday party.

Covergirl Colorlicious Lipstick in Droid #40 – On the swatch, this is a subtle gold, but applied, Droid went on nude. It was so shimmery, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. All of these lipsticks are cream lipsticks, and this one, like the others, went on very smooth. The downside? The color didn’t last past one meal.Star Wars Covergirl Lipsticks In Dark Apprentice, Droid, and Jedi

Covergirl Colorlicious Lipstick in Jedi #70 – This is a perfect nude shade because when applied, it legitimately looks like there’s nothing on. There’s a mild shimmer to this one, and it didn’t fade as fast as Droid. But, it didn’t last as long as Dark Apprentice. I would definitely pair this with Droid in a kind of ombre lip.

I guess the Dark Side took this round.
