Cruelty Free or No?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced as a beauty curious blogger is this: do I use a product that works well even though it’s tested on animals?

Since coming across some Instagram posts by Peta, which you do have to take with a grain of salt sometimes, it’s renewed my commitment to try to purchase and use things that are free from animal ingredients or tested on animals. Moreover, big game hunting controversies seem to be popping up in the news, first with that Texas Tech cheerleader and now with L’Oreal finding itself in a bad PR situation.

Bunny Free app What came in handy was the Bunny Free app. Associated with Peta, you can scan a product or search by name and it’ll tell you if something is a-okay or tested on critters. (P.S. It’s also free.)

What’s your take on living cruelty free?

OMG, I’ve been so bad about blogging that I wish I would’ve seen this sooner! I feel like sometimes it’s impossible to not buy one or two things that aren’t cruelty free, like eye makeup remover.
