I had been really interested in creating at home beauty treatments and came across an article by Woman’s Day that gave tips to create hair treatments. “How metal!” I thought.
Since I felt my hair wasn’t at it’s best, I followed the directions of the article and created a paste with baking soda and water, then rinsed with apple cider vinegar.
Not the best-smelling shower of all time, by the way.
The paste didn’t hold together like I thought, and I had to really work it into my hair. I rinsed with apple cider vinegar and then water.
My hair looked shiny afterward, but it felt dry. I did the treatment twice. Then I came across an article that detailed why the “no poo” method, specifically this one, is bad for your hair.
Hmm. Would I recommend? Try it once. Everyone’s hair is different and it may work for you. But for someone with thick, wavy or curly hair, stay away.
